Email

We’ve changed how we sign you up to get emails about Mt. Baker Race Team activities. You can now control how, where and whether these emails come.

Near the bottom of most pages on the website (on the right side) is a section that lets you control these things. Under “Email Subscriptions” you can:

  • Add a new email address, so this address gets new emails from us
  • Remove an email address, so this address no longer gets emails from us.

To subscribe a new email address: Type the address into the “Your Email” box, then click the button labeled Subscribe. You’ll have to respond to an email to finish the process.

To remove an email address so it no longer receives emails from us: Type the address into the “Your Email” box, then click the button labeled Unsubscribe. You’ll have to respond to an email to finish the process.

If you wish to explore them, there are at least three other ways you can get notifications about our activities.

  1. You can sign up for a Twitter account (http://twitter.com), and then “follow” mtbakerraceteam. You’ll be notified through Twitter when we post information. Twitter can send text messages to your cell phone, pop up windows on your computer, post a notice to your Facebook account, and generally bother you more ways than you can imagine.
  2. You can give our RSS feed address to your RSS reader. RSS is a syndication service, and an RSS reader gathers “news” from many sources (like ours) and aggregates it for convenient review. You might find RSS readers on your smartphone, on an ebook reader, or in your web browser or email program. Our RSS feed address is listed near the bottom right of each website page.
  3. You can (frequently) check the “Recent Posts” section near top right of each website page. Each time a new post is added to the website its title appears here. If you look often enough you’ll catch them all.

Finally, if you choose you can register with the website, log in and manage your email subscription directly. If you’re interested in seeing email about J4/J5/J6 racing and general MBRT activities but don’t want to hear about J1/J2/J3 activities you might uncheck the subscription box for the J1/J2/J3 category, save, and expect to receive only email that interests you. You might also choose to register with the website if you need to be able to make posts and send emails yourself. Registration is completely optional; if you do nothing you’re already subscribed to the full email feed. If you do choose to explore registration, the link is at bottom right on most website pages.
